Past Events
In 2009 we introduced a challenging circumnavigation of Loch Lyon increasing the off-road proportion of the event substantially. While 70% of the route is on minor roads, 40% of your time is spent on the off-road sections. The event offered the opportunity to really push oneself on the bike or to enjoy a more sociable event in the shorter route options. The weather was perfect and the atmosphere was fantastic. Regardless of where people came in on the day, there were plenty of cheers and smiles to take away the aches and pains of the challenge.
There is great momentum building for the 2010 event and we're sure it will prove an even bigger success, and hope to see you there.
What past participants have said
"I can't believe it's all over!! We are all on rather a downer this morning, the whole weekend really was incredible and after looking forward to it / preparing for so long it now feels quite stran... there's always next year I guess! Well done to you and all of the team, the organisation was truly phenomenal. I have done various runs and challenges in the past and can safely say that none of them match up to the Artemis Highland 100. Any chance we can get hold of that carrot cake recipe?!"
Catherine Robins, Brewin Dolphin
"I just want to say thank you to you and everyone who contributed for putting on such a well organised event over the weekend. Registration, the camp site, catering, entertainment, marshals, rest stops, showers, massages (god send) just everything was brilliant. The ride was hellish but the support from everyone at the rest stops and the marshals waiting to warn of pot holes & deep rivers was inspiring. Everyone was very genuine and that definitely helped push me through the final 30 miles. I've been to some major festivals and rallies over the years and the organisation was nothing compared to the Artemis 100."
Joel Rogers
"I would like to thank you and your team for organising and supporting the Artemis Highland 100 charity bike ride in such a professional manner. WildFox Events did a fantastic job! This was the first event of this type that I have taken part in and having enjoyed it so much I hope to do many more. Well done to everyone and thank you all very much."
Alan Carson
"Thank you very much for organising the event last weekend - it was fantastic, definitely the best cycling event I've entered. The route was great (well apart from the dreaded Loch Lyon), all the marshals very cheery and helpful, and the carrot cake absolutely sublime!"
Hugo Elliot, Deutsche Bank
"Great event!! Our team a fantastic weekend and I think we'll all be back next year again. Have to say the organisation was fantastic, one of our team suffered a broken bike and a replacement was brought out to him part way round the course. The food stops were excellent and certainly kept us going with high energy drinks and cakes."
Simon Bennett
"Back from Killin and reflecting on a wonderful weekend. Just thought I'd drop you a line to thank you for such wonderful organisation before, during and after the Artemis Highland 100. It was absolutely flawless. The new loop was tough but a great challenge. Definitely keep it in for next time! For those not so used to wild, rugged and remote places, it must have seemed like another world. I guess we experienced it at its most benign too - it would be a huge challenge if it was cold, windy and wet... In my case it was interrupted by a puncture on a sharp rock that tore into the tyre, and an enforced inner tube change - only 2 miles from the end of the loop."
